LBJ TEXpress Lanes Overview and Maps

Project Overview

The 13.3-mile *LBJ TEXpress Lanes on I-635 and I-35E in Dallas are part of a sophisticated new tollway system in North Texas, designed to provide drivers with faster, more reliable trips and no stop-and-go driving.

*The 635 East HOV/Express Lanes are not part of the LBJ TEXpress Lanes.

TEXpress Lanes on I-635

In addition to upgraded general highway lanes and expanded continuous frontage roads, up to 6 TEXpress Lanes run in the middle of I-635, from Luna Road to Greenville Avenue.

TEXpress Lanes on I-35E

I-35E/Stemmons Freeway features 4 elevated TEXpress Lanes, from I-635 south to the I-35E/Loop 12 split and north onto I-35E before Valley View Lane. The I-35E TEXpress Lanes run along the outside of this roadway.

LBJ TEXpress Lanes Project Limits

You can use the LBJ TEXpress Lanes to travel from Luna Road to Greenville Avenue or bypass the I-635/35E interchange altogether by zipping onto I-35E south to the 35E/Loop 12 split or north up to Valley View Lane

LBJ TEXpress Lanes Pricing

The LBJ TEXpress Lanes use variable, congestion-management pricing to keep drivers moving at a minimum of 50 mph at all times. Toll rates are higher during rush hours, and lower as the demand for the TEXpress Lanes drop.
